Debian 3.0 Linux on an IBM Thinkpad 360SC.(crystal49)

I was surfing ebay and looking at Thinkpads for sale. I had been exploring Linux the past few years. I found I could afford a Thinkpad 360 and that there were many accessorries including memory available for this model. Then a quick check with http://www.linux-on-laptops.com/ showed that this model does work under Linux. I used this web page<http://ieee.uow.edu.au/~mjp16/misc/thinkpad.html> to get started. My install was Debian 3 but that page referes to Debian 2.1. They seem the same for installing, so you could for now use that page for Debian 3.0 But the Debian 2.1 although it worked had real problems with my floppy and mtools for using dos disks and also the network card would only work during configuration and after the second reboot the network card failed to work. So I upgraded the memory to, I think this model's maximum, 20MB, and installed Debian 3.0. It seems to work but I still don't have X working.
